Jacksonville motorcyclist killed in car wreck - Jacksonville Motorcycle Accident Lawyers

A Jacksonville motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a car at Fort Caroline Road and Cesery Boulevard in the Arlington area of Jacksonville about 2 a.m. Friday.

Detective M.A. Knox of the Sheriff’s Office traffic homicide division said at the scene investigators had not determined the cause of the accident, but both vehicles were attempting to make turns at the intersection.

The motorcyclist, 49-year-old Timothy S. Yates, was taken to Shands Jacksonville with life-threatening injuries where he died a few hours after the crash, according to a news release. Yates, who was not wearing a helmet, had just turned 49 Thursday.

The man driving the car and his female passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, Knox said.
